Share your opinion on the Józsefváros Health Strategy!

The Municipality of Józsefváros considers improving the health of the district’s residents a priority. Several areas of healthcare do not fall within the remit of the local government, so the questions in the questionnaire only relate to areas where the local government has the opportunity to introduce improvements. These areas include, for example, screening, support for vaccinations, public information and the development of the local government-run healthcare system, but not the situation of state-run hospitals.

Based on the problems identified and the suggestions made by the public during the needs assessment carried out in the first half of 2025, the local government has developed a comprehensive health development concept, on which you now have the opportunity to give your opinion.

After the consultation period has ended, the local government will process the opinions and suggestions received and then decide whether to accept the proposal, giving reasons for its decision. The Local Council will then decide on the final text of the strategy.

The consultation period will run from December 03, 2025 to February 12, 2026.

I. Disease prevention

In Józsefváros, mortality rates due to cardiovascular, respiratory and cancerous diseases are significantly higher than the national average. One of the key objectives of the strategy is to reduce the number of preventable deaths and increase the proportion of years spent in good health.
