To help train crows to pick up cigarette butts and trash. The principle is simpleS: Crows are trained to pick up trash, and bring it to special trashbins, that for every trash piece, they put, they get a treat!

Littering. We could get cleaner streets
Being kinder to birds and maybe giving some donations to fill up the food for the birds.
After discussing the topic with several organisations and professionals, we have decided not to accept this idea. There are two main reasons for this decision:
Firstly, we cannot foresee the possible reactions of the birds. As one professional put it, they might become more human-friendly, but they are more likely to become territorial and aggressive towards humans. In our district, there is no unused green space; all of our spaces are used by hundreds of people each day who cross that area, rest there or spend their spare time there. We do not want to risk those residents losing their space due to aggressive bird behaviour.
By inviting only one species of bird to ‘dine’, we increase their numbers, but this also means that other birds will be squeezed out and decide to emigrate to other areas of Budapest. We are proud of the variety of birds in our city, which is why we have a bird protection programme, put up bird boxes and bird feeders in our trees and created a ‘bird path’ with useful information for people interested in birds. In Józsefváros, we love to be colourful – we do not want to risk losing this diversity!
